MAP Live Interactive Media 101

Another awesome MAP Live event!

Breaking Through the Glass Ceiling

Here’s a flyer I got to have a bit of fun with as this hard working woman shatters the glass ceiling that’s preventing her from recognizing her career earning potential. This Map Live! luncheon, coming up on September 27th, is gonna be a great one so if your interested in breaking through to the other side you should check it out! Click here for more info.

MAP Brochure

Here is a collateral piece I recently created to encourage local professionals to join the Media Association of Pittsburgh. Playing off their tagline “To know the right direction to go in Pittsburgh Media, you’ve got to use the MAP!” I decided to design their own custom map. I created Pittsburgh’s terrain from scratch, tracing each road one by one. I then had some fun by putting locations on it with custom MAP pins. The finished piece is 8.5 x 11 and folds down to 4.25 x 5.5 similar to a pocket map. For more info about this wonderful group of media professionals visit www.mediapittsburgh.com.

My Tattletales – Book Cover

I worked on this fun project back in the beginning of 2011, the first book cover and layout I’ve ever designed! The author had sent me some digital pictures of her dog whispering into her ear (with the help of some strategically placed peanut butter!) The concept was adorable but the pictures were low resolution and not usable for a professional piece. The solution, a custom vector image created from sketches based on said images. Here’s the result. To learn more about Meggin and her “Campers” check out www.mytattletales.com.

Beer and Big Shots

This event, organized by Media Association of Pittsburgh, puts our local media big shots behind the bar to raise money for the Michael Wolff Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is given annually to a college student focusing on media and communication. Stop by McFadden’s on Thursday, July 14th for fun times and the opportunity to network with Pittsburgh’s elite media people!

My Tattletales

Here’s a website I just put together for a lovely lady from Ocean City. I’ve been helping with the marketing of her first book My Tattletales set to be released on April 30. The book is filled with stories about her experiences as Canine Caregiver/Kennel Manager in an animal shelter. Check out her website at www.mytattletales.com. Like the book on facebook and you’ll be entered to win your very own copy!
