Another awesome MAP Live event!
Here’s a flyer I got to have a bit of fun with as this hard working woman shatters the glass ceiling that’s preventing her from recognizing her career earning potential. This Map Live! luncheon, coming up on September 27th, is gonna be a great one so if your interested in breaking through to the other side you should check it out! Click here for more info.
Cronic Brewing Company is a micro-brewery located in Templeton and, in my opinion, some of the finest beer coming out of PA! Here’s a selection of labels I’ve been working on for the brewery along with the company logo. The majority of the type used is custom lettering and all graphics were done to fit the personality of the variety of beer. CBC is currently scouting for a location in the City of Pittsburgh and hopefully their brew will be available for your enjoyment within the next couple of years.
I worked on this fun project back in the beginning of 2011, the first book cover and layout I’ve ever designed! The author had sent me some digital pictures of her dog whispering into her ear (with the help of some strategically placed peanut butter!) The concept was adorable but the pictures were low resolution and not usable for a professional piece. The solution, a custom vector image created from sketches based on said images. Here’s the result. To learn more about Meggin and her “Campers” check out www.mytattletales.com.
This year my crew and I were super psyched to learn that one of our favorite bands from New York, Big Leg Emma, had reunited and were playing together once again. To mark the next era of the bands history, it was time for a fresh graphic that embodied their new vibe. Big Leg Emma has always used a lizard as their primary mark. I created an evolved version along with custom lettering for all the options presented. Ultimately the first version below was selected but the others may be used for future applications. This event, organized by Media Association of Pittsburgh, puts our local media big shots behind the bar to raise money for the Michael Wolff Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is given annually to a college student focusing on media and communication. Stop by McFadden’s on Thursday, July 14th for fun times and the opportunity to network with Pittsburgh’s elite media people!
Here’s another project I’ve been working on for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Community Harvest is a program that encourages home gardeners to donate overage of produce from their gardens to help fight hunger in their community. This project is still in the works but I wanted to share what we have so far, the Community Harvest logo and donation flyer targeting home gardeners. More to come!
This year, I’ve had the opportunity to work with the wonderful people over at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, lending my skills to design materials for a couple of their programs. The Farm Stand Project is a program that offers produce at cost to low income families by setting up farm stands in their neighborhood. All 14 farm stands needed a poster and flyer to get the word out. We decided it would be helpful to create a map of each location to make the stands easy to locate. I developed logo, flyers, posters and schedules (large and small) to promote the stands.
Here’s a website I just put together for a lovely lady from Ocean City. I’ve been helping with the marketing of her first book My Tattletales set to be released on April 30. The book is filled with stories about her experiences as Canine Caregiver/Kennel Manager in an animal shelter. Check out her website at www.mytattletales.com. Like the book on facebook and you’ll be entered to win your very own copy!
